Believe me, I’m trying not to laugh….

Alright checking out Dealzon I saw something that seriously made me have to fight not to laugh.  I mean seriously, come on Duke has had a rough year already but isn’t this just adding injury on top of insult?  Not sure what I’m talking about?  Check here or here for the scoop.

Lets call a spade a spade.  Anytime you sell a game for less then about 20 dollars new you are generally speaking attempting to just clear it out of stock.  Or in other words you don’t want it, don’t need it, and just want it gone.  Selling a game for less then 10 at least in my experience in the industry is the equivalent of begging people to take it and according to what managers I have is selling it at a loss.  Selling a game for 3 dollars is unheard of… I’ve worked for companies that would rather throw the games away in the trash then sell a game for less then 5 dollars.

We all know that this past year has not been friendly to the Duke… his last game the one on sale, took over 12 years as I recall to develop and make.  That’s not counting the fact that it went though several developers.  I mean no offense to anyone but I certainly hope that this means the end of this particular line as by and large that type of game (the stereotypes, the sexism, etc.) really isn’t needed in games anymore.
