In doing my normal sweeps of websites for information I stumbled upon something that I find to be rather sad. Terraria is no longer in production and will receive only one more bug fix. While I do understand the reasoning behind this and can agree with wanting to spend time with family, it is still a sad end for a game that helped bring be back into gaming. The game is (if you haven’t played it) a lot of fun and provides hours of entertainment if you enjoy building, exploring, and 2-D platforming. It periodically goes on sale on Steam for $5 and hopefully the collector’s edition will still come out in the U.S. with it being released in parts of the world starting March 1. I will miss the ideas that we had hoped to see, (alien worlds, different dimensions, corrupted planets) but am still happy for the time that I have spent in the game.
