Dissapointment

There is a certain disappointment that occurs when you realize that something you wanted or planed isn’t going to work out the way you thought or hoped. What is worse is when it’s though no fault of your own and you realize that the thing that you wanted is possible, however it might not, or even would not be enjoyable. This is the case with something I had thought about doing, specifically role playing on a set of forums that I recently started visiting.

It seems like no matter what course of action I take on said forum I am stepping on someone’s toes. Be it agreeing with someone, but trying to provide a note of caution, to asking a question is seems that I keep stomping other people’s appendages. No one has been impolite about it; however it is not conductive to making a person feel like continuing either. If you feel like everything that you are doing is annoying someone, it’s bound to eventually catch up with you and cause problems. Instead I’ll just avoid the situation all together, no matter how disappointing and regardless of how much it may sadden me.

I may visit from time to time and investigate… keep up on information. But one thing that everyone who runs a bulletin board/forum needs to remember is that when there are hundreds upon hundreds of pages its difficult at best to get though all of those pages. In some case it may be impossible to do in a reasonable amount of time especially when you are talking about some of the sections having 700+ pages with twenty posts per page, for a total of over 1400 posts to read in that one section of 40 or more sections…
